Salem District people service society involve care and support project for positive

people Most of the people SDPSSNGO assists are those from lower socio-economic groups.

These HIV+ people find it hard to get jobs because they face/perceive discrimination/disclosure

at the work place, and eventually, due to the natu...re of their illness, find it difficult to work

regular hours. This in addition to the fact that many PLWHA's come from "positive families"

with more than one HIV+ member. These individuals not only need to earn a living to support

their families, but also need to provide physical assistance and take on the role of care givers

at home. SDPSSNGO teaches skills that can be used to generate income from their homes and

assists them in the acquisition of raw materials/equipment in order to do so. So far,
