1.Driver Installation

2.Hardware InstallationNote: After the Cammy has been installed the following

message may appear: “USB Device Not Recognized”. If this is the case, use a non-powered USB Hub to provide additional power to the Cammy.

3.Software Installation

Note: You can uninstall the software and driver by going to

the “Start” menu then “Programs” then “CAMMY” and then selecting the “Uninstall” option.

4.Network Software Installation

Note: Make sure the network software is open on the

Network Server before using the Network Client.

Using the CAMMY Software To start the program, you can click the “CAMMY” desktop icon

or go to: “Start” then “Programs” then “CAMMY” and then select “CAMMY”.

You can switch between full screen and regular display.1.Click the maximize button in the top right corner to view in full

screen mode.2.To redisplay the original size click on the restore button in the

top right corner.

Sterilization The CCD sensor is not autoclavable. Always use a new

disposable sleeve for each patient. To prevent cross contamination never reuse the disposable sleeve.

The CCD sensor can be cleaned using a mild alcohol cloth but precautions must be taken to avoid wetness or spills.

Maintenance There is no scheduled maintenance for “CAMMY”. Keep the

unit dry. Avoid vibration or shock

5.Establish New PatientNOTE:When creating a new Patient ID, it is recommended to use existing Chart ID numbers for easier patient management.

If creating a new Patient ID without using existing Chart ID numbers, it is recommended to enter a six-digit number.

The Patient ID should be created as follows: 000001, 000002…999999, etc.

In this way, when clicking "Search" to view all patient files, the patient ID's will be listed in numerical order for easy identification.

-First Name – Any alphanumeric combination-Last Name – Any alphanumeric combination-Middle Initial – One character only (optional field)-Use dropdown menu to enter sex and date of birth.-Gender – M or F-Date of birth – MMDDYY format Please note: All Patient Fields must be filled in order to

establish a new patient file (except optional fields).

6. Search Patient File to Locate a Specific Patient

For example if a date of birth of “1948” and a first name of “Jerry” are entered, all patients with the first name “Jerry” born in 1948 will be listed on the lower half of the search page. Start with the patient ID Field.

A6A6 Non-powered USB hub is sufficient to solve “USB device

not recognized” problem in most cases, but if the laptop USB port provides much less power, non-powered USB hub might be under voltage (because USB hub consumes some power ) and need connect extra power supply to the USB hub to provide stable output for the CAMMY.

Sometimes if multiple laptop’s USB port are using at the same time, the power output may be affected. In this case, a powered USB hub is suggested.

no existed patient ID, you can enter 6 digit number i.e.000001 as a sequence order. The patient ID in CAMMY is only for patient ID not serial number, therefore, there’s no sorting system. This allows worldwide dentists to edit corresponding to their current patient ID.
