Shelter they have to save their dear ones

Parents wait for treatment but die deprived

And son’s Get old but can’t Retire

Even in so much pain

But still they laugh and say………..

Mai chala wahi jidhar chale rasta

General Background• First observed in 1951-52• Legal approval came in 1959• Acc. To JCROA,18to 20 thousand

rickshaws&35000 rickshaw pullers.• 15 owners-10500 rickshaws; another 235-10000.• 2 owners jointly own 7000&2000 ric.

Respectively and are called RICKSHAW KINGS of Jaipur.

LEGAL ASPECT

• First law formed-1959.• 1971,law passed, detailing 1 person pulling

other as inhuman & on plea of N.R.L.U state bank SBBJ offered loan to make rickshaw pullers, the owners.

• Bylaw passed banning renting ,1978.On grounds of SAFETY&HUMAN HEALTH.

• Reinstated in 2003.
