Dialog with Panelists

How to address gender inequities as part of strategies for improving health outcomes

1. Short presentations on panelist’s perspectives2. Small group work:

Talk with each other about challenges of incorporating gender equity into health programs

3. Discussion with panelists about how to address these challenges Facilitators will also bring up some of our own

questions4. Presentation of a health project in Nicaragua that

works with men to improve their support for maternal and neonatal health Elena McEwan

Learning Objectives

By the end of the session participants will have a better understanding of: The characteristics of programming that

addresses gender inequity in order to improve health outcomes

How these characteristics relate to programs that you are currently implementing

Possible solutions to challenges faced by programs that incorporate a gender equity focus
