Firefighters!

• Firefighters wear special clothes to protect themselves from fire.

Gloves, Pants, Helmets, Coats, Boots

• When there’s smoke, firefighters wear a mask.

This mask helps them breathe and protect their faces.

Fire Safety

• They teach kids about safety: “Stop, Drop, & Roll”, and practice fire drills.

• In case of a fire: “Get low and go, get out and stay out”

When the Alarm bell rings in the firehouse, they slide down a pole to get to their trucks.

They attach hoses to fire hydrants to allow water to come out: the hoses squirt water on a fire.
