What is Undescended testis?

Undescended testicles is not a rare condition. It is a common childhood condition where a boy is born without both testicles in his scrotum.

Symptoms

Not feeling or seeing a testicle where you would expect it to be in the scrotum is the main sign of an undescended testicle.

The scrotum may smaller than normal or uneven. Thecrotum may also appear appear empty or bag-like in babies with an undescended testicle.

Diagnosis

Early management and diagnosis of Undescended testis is better to preserving fertility.

undescended testicle, is commonly diagnosed during the newborn examination. Identification of associated syndromes, recognition of the condition, proper diagnostic evaluation and timely referral for urologic surgical therapy are important steps in preventing adverse consequences.
