The treatment in the little patient is called early orthodontics and has as its main aim the interception and correction of problems related to craniofacial growth of the young patient.

Introduction.

Objectives.

Taking care of a baby prematurely prevents the onset of a severe malocclusion stabilized more and more difficult to treat and sometimes even not possible without the use of surgery at the end of growth.

Aims.

The potential for growth is the most important subject which is available at the orthodontist, as intervening before the growth is finished, you can reach anatomical and functional space to allow subsequent processes strip thyself craniofacial continue to take place in the normal manner.

Methods.We analyzed the priorities of interceptive orthodontic treatment:1) therapy crossbite and prevention of skeletal asymmetries 2) early therapy in obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, osas3) prevention of injuries and avulsions 4) the first phase of the therapy of the second classes to increased compliance by the child 5) improving the appearance and self-esteem 6) early rehabilitation of bad habits and physiotherapy conscious functions (awarness training)7) interception early in the class III of growing patient

Results. The main objective is not to align the teeth, but to prevent the onset of severe malocclusions.

Conclusions. For this reason, the ultimate goal of treatment is not always the one to come to a complete resolution of the case, but sometimes achieve a partial result is sufficient to establish the conditions for a harmonious growth manifest itself.
