This four-day intensive, comprehensive review will incorporate data supporting guideline-based recommendations and recent advances regarding the management of patients with malignant hematologic and solid tumor disorders. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in case-based review sessions and discussions and will have access to a comprehensive syllabus and self-assessment materials.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Describe the pathogenesis, diagnostic evaluation, and therapeutic modalities available for common malignant hematological diseases

• Describe the pathogenesis, diagnostic evaluation, and therapeutic modalities available for common solid tumor malignancies

• Integrate guideline-based treatments into personalized clinical practice appropriate for patients

• Integrate new therapeutic and diagnostic approaches into clinical practice as appropriate

This course is designed for physicians who are preparing for the medical oncology certification or re-certification exam as well as physicians and allied health professionals who desire an update in current standards of care for patients with cancer.

The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 30.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Materials will be available from September 23 - October 25, 2013, for registrants to print and/or download. A booklet with the conference agenda and pages for note-taking will be provided at the conference.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education must receive written notification of cancellation and refund requests no later than September 18, 2013. A $50 processing fee will be deducted from refund requests received by this date. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after September 18, 2013. The Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel this course twenty (20) days prior to the course date when a minimum enrollment is not met or for other reasons that prevent the University from holding the course. Each registrant will be notified by telephone followed by written notification and a full refund.
