Cataract Surgery for Clear and Clean Vision
Cataract surgery is one of the highly demanded eye surgery, which is undertaken to treat
cataracts. In this surgery, a specialist replaces the natural eye lens that has been clouded with the
new one to correct the vision of the patient. He carefully removes the natural lens of human eyes
and implants a new lens to bring back the transparency of the lens. People suffering from
cataract are generally advised to have a cataract surgery immediately. Note that, a delay in this
treatment for cataract over the time can result in the loss of vision or loss of clearness.
Today, Conventional Extracapsular Cataract Extraction (ECCE) and Phacoemulsification are two
of the major kinds of cataract surgery extraction recommended and performed by the
ophthalmologists. Experts make sure to use local during the process so that the patient does not
face any kind of discomfort. The best thing about these surgeries is that the patient can go back
home about two hours right after the surgery. Although, this is not the final end of the surgery as
any complication could be developed after the process gets over.
The patients underwent a cataract surgery are advised not to bend too low or lift any heavy
object. They should not use computer, watch television and study for a long time that can put
stress on the eyes. Further, they should not rub eyes even if it irritate. They should not take
showers or swim and make to keep their eyes away from soap and water. They should avoid
dusty atmosphere and do not let any dirt or dust partial enter into eyes at least for one week after
the surgery. These are some of the precautions every cataract surgery patient must follow to
avoid any complication.
