DESCRIPTION

A Brand Manager at an international pharmaceutical company asked us to help them gain insight into prescription drivers for birth control pills to provide the foundation for the new marketing strategy for their established product. Cogora conducted a multi-channel research programme, starting by recruiting GPs, Practice Nurses and Commissioners to take part in a series of one-day advisory boards. The company then videoed and transcribed this qualitative research and analysed the discussions in a confidential report. The research findings informed a subsequent campaign. Cogora created three interactive, educational videos that repositioned the clients’ product. They then marketed these videos to the 1,200 Health Care Professionals that took part in the survey. The HCPs’ responses to interactive questions posed at the beginning and end confirmed an increase in the average net promoter score from +20 to +76.

Solution We conducted a multi-channel research programme, starting by recruiting GPs, Practice Nurses and Commissioners to take part in a series of one-day advisory boards. We videoed and transcribed this qualitative research and analysed the discussions in a confidential report. We then used the findings of the qualitative research to inform a quantitative research piece – conducted via an email survey, polling 400 Health Care Professionals from each of our Practice Nurse, GP, Practice Manager and Commissioner communities.

Results The research findings informed a subsequent campaign. We created three interactive, educational videos that repositioned the clients’ product. We then marketed these videos to the 1,200 Health Care Professionals that took part in the survey. The HCPs’ responses to interactive questions posed at the beginning and end confirmed an increase in the average net promoter score from +20 to +76.
