functioning.” Made an official field of study in 1998 by Martin

Seligman, president of the American Psychological Association.

Tal Ben-Shahar, a Harvard professor who taught the biggest class of 885 people, eventually ~14,00

To be happy we need both meaning and pleasure.

To have sense of purpose and experience positive emotions.

Happiness the “Ultimate Currency” in which we use happiness as a way to measure our lives.

Taking into consideration people with material wealth vs. happiness. Many people are at risk for emotional bankruptcy.

* Ave. person has 60,000 thoughts/day.

* Most of those thoughts are from the day before and 80% of those are negative.

*Positive emotions slide like teflon.
