Novalis Tx® Overview Novalis Tx treats patients through a process called stereotactic radiosurgery, a noninvasive method of treating tumors with high-dose radiation precisely aimed from different angles. Novalis Tx destroys cancerous and benign tumors with highly accurate radiation beams while minimizing damage to healthy tissue. By delivering high-dose radiation beams that match the shape of the tumor being treated, the Novalis Tx also significantly reduces treatment time. A typical session takes about 15 minutes, and treatment is completed within five sessions. Most patients go home right after treatment and immediately resume normal activities.
