I felt like an intruder… / Я чувствовала себя чужой…


… and for the first time in my life I was nervous in the company of children because I didn’t know how to interact with them. /

Здесь не работали правила "большого" мира, где люди друг другу не помогают и не мешают…

In the CCP, I discovered a place …/ Постепенно я обнаружила, что ЦЛП - это особое место…

…between assisting the children's self-expression and giving them the freedom to be themselves and test their boundaries. / … …между тем, чтобы помогать детям самовыражаться и давать им свободу быть самими собой, исследуя границы своего "Я".


The instructors are like teachers in the art of living, who help connect the children with the joy that is in life and in the world and inside themselves. / Педагоги будто преподают искусство жить, помогают детям ощутить радость жизни в большом мире и внутри себя.


My camera and I felt a little helpless here. / Мы с моей камерой чувствовали себя тут немного беспомощными.


What could I do? / Что в моих силах? Что я могу сделать?


Well, I could take pictures, and I hope they do their bit to help the CCP continue its work. / Разве что фотографировать - в надежде, что мои снимки помогут Центру продолжить свою работу.


Andreea’s career began at anti-Milosevic demonstrations in Serbia, leading to international news photography for The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times and National Geographic. Andreea’s work focuses on poignant portraits that show the resilience of people living extraordinary lives, often in extreme environments. Andreea spent one week working with the children and staff of CCP to produce a powerful study of the centre and it’s work. /

Карьера фотографа Андреи Анка началась во время демонстраций в Сербии против Милошевича. Впоследствии Андреа стала заниматься новостными фотографиями для таких изданий как: The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian и The Times, а также гуманитарных проектов ООН и National Geographic. Главное в работах Андреи – попытка показать через портретное изображение жизненную силу людей в чрезвычайных обстоятельствах.
