FACTS
• 80% of all diseases in most part of Africa is are caused by
unsafe water and poor sanitation
• Over 3,000 children under 5years old die annually from poor
water and sanitation in Ghana alone.
• 3.5million people in Ghana lack access to an improved water
source
• Over 9million people don't have access to safe drinking
water
ACHIEVING A HUMANITARIAN GOAL
PWFA PROJECT
RURAL WATER AID INTERNATIONAL SEEKS TO FURNISH AND INSTALL PURIFICATION SYSTEMS WITH THE
FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS:
We engage the local
Chiefs /Community
leaders who selects
the locations for each
installation
Ensuring that raw
water is available at
that location
(eg. Accessible well,
river,lake, etc.).
RWA International would install
the purification system together
with a 1000 litre raw water
storage tank, connecting pipes
and a simple concrete block
enclosure to house the filter
system
RWA International
would provide
training for the
proper service and
operation of the
systems to community
representative
THIS DECEMBER PWFA WILL BE AMANSIE
WEST DISTRICT OF THE ASHANTI REGION OF
GHANA
EACH MONTH RWAI VISITS A RURAL
COMMUNITY WITH THE WATER PURIFICATION
UNIT AND PURIFIES UP TO 10,000 LITRES OF
RAW CONTAMINTED WATER FOR THE
COMMUNITY. IT IS OUR DESIRE TO INSTALL THE
PURIFACATION UNIT IN THESE RURAL
COMMUNITIES HAVING ISSUES WITH UNSAFE
WATER.

GHANA
