Ledbury Places Ltd partnership West Midlands

A community led group will be working with Herefordshire Council and Ledbury Town Council to push forward plans for the possible transfer of seven historic buildings, including the market house.

City of York Council partnership Yorkshire & Humber

The City of York Council have identified 15 local assets, including a local swimming pool, youth centres and community buildings, to successfully deliver a programme of multiple asset transfers to enable local devolved leadership. 

Gedling Borough Council partnership East Midlands

The Borough Council is looking to potentially transfer seven local assets, working with key local community groups.

Manchester COMA Partnership North West

This partnership has identified up to 16 local assets in the city, including community buildings, playing fields and a bowling green, where community management has the potential to strengthen local identity, providing essential services close to homes.

Peterborough Council for Voluntary Services partnership East of England     

Peterborough CVS is working with Peterborough City Council to review the council’s community centre property estate with the potential for the community to take ownership of 20 assets.

North Yorkshire Council partnership Yorkshire and Humber

The county council, in partnership with district council partners, will be investigating the possible transfer of up to 30 local libraries/services to the community.

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Limited partnershipWest Midlands  

The trust, local groups, the RSPB, Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, are developing a collaborative approach to the management of green space and heritage assets in the Churnet Valley, to make more efficient and effective use of resources and fully utilise the interest and involvement of local people.

Thurrock Council are looking to potentially transfer four local assets to community groups, and are working with local supporters such as Thurrock CVS and Thurrock Community Hubs to develop a strategic and sustainable plan for doing so.

A broad partnership, including the district council, parish council and developers, to establish a new community development trust as part of a major regeneration project on an ex-Ministry of Defence site to deliver a new town centre, 3,350 new homes, 5,500 new jobs and community facilities.

In partnership with local voluntary sector organisations, the partnership has identified up to 20 community assets which could potentially be transferred to their existing management bodies.

A consortium of local community groups, working in partnership with Leeds City Council, will develop plans to transfer up to 10 community assets, including youth centres and sports halls.

This city-wide project will include the review of 33 culture and leisure assets, including museums, galleries, leisure centres and libraries, to improve the relevance and quality of services to local people.

Southbourne Parish Council/Green Ring Partnership West Sussex, South East

Following their use of the Neighbourhood Planning process (due for referendum soon), the parish council has identified land for the creation of a ‘green ring’ of orchards community gardens, allotments and amenity space.

Led by Liverpool City Council, the partnership is looking to develop viable strategies for the potential transfer of 5 identified assets, including libraries and a cemetery chapel.

Bishops Castle and District Community Land Trust A community land trust-led partnership, with the Bishops Castle Town Council, to test the feasibility of a local business park transfer in South Shropshire.

Douglas Valley Community Douglas Valley Community and Wigan Council are working with local community groups to develop strategies for the potential transfer of a number of community centres.

Gateshead Council Gateshead Council and Gateshead Voluntary Organisations Council are leading on this project to develop strategies for the transfer of up to 10 community assets which include libraries, bowling greens and parks/leisure centres, with the possibility of establishing a network of local health and well-being centres.

Kirklees Council A partnership between Kirklees Council and a cross section of community organisations to look at the transfer of 3 assets, including community halls and a library.

London Borough of Lambeth A partnership project between Lambeth Borough Council and consortia of community groups who form a local 'community hub' network.

Newton Abbot Town Council A Parish Council led proposal to investigate the potential transfer of two community assets (one of which is an iconic Grade II listed building) in this South Devon market town.

 Poole Development Trust A new development trust in Poole is leading on a project to speed up the process, and enhance the chance of success for two to three asset transfers in predominantly disadvantaged areas in the borough, as a precursor to doing more in the future.

Walsall Voluntary Action This is a partnership between the Council for Voluntary Services, a number of Community Associations and the local authority, who are working to accelerate the development of a supported strategy for the asset transfer of community assets in each of Walsall's six area partnerships.

The County Council will be working with the local community and the Elvaston Castle Development Board to further develop plans for the future of Elvaston Castle, a Grade II listed Manor House with 200+ acres of woodlands, parkland and formal gardens.
