It was the first TOT, which was facilitated by the CRPs themselves. Before this the same training was organized by Head Office at HRDC Hayatabad, where selected CRPs from Malakand division were participated. On the basis of their performance in the previous TOT at HRDC, some CRPs were selected for this training as resource persons. Mr, Luqman CRP from Shangla,Mr, Naik Amal from Swat, Mr Fazle Khaliq CRP from Dir lower delivered different sessions in the training. While Madam Jehan Ara from Head office, Madam Naheed Akhtar Khan, Mr Bahar Ahmad, Mr Sohail Inayat also participated and facilitate the facilitators in different sessions. A pictorial view of the closing ceremony is presented in this report. While detail training Report will also be submitted seperately. In the closing ceremony Mr Jamal Shah a renowned writer, singer, actor, artist and social worker and director Hunar Kada Islamabad graced the occasion as chief guest.He delivered a detail speech specially on social development and the role of activists in the society and also distribute the certificates among the CRPs.

Introduction

A six days TOT was arranged in Swat for the selected CRPs/Activists of Malakand

Division under EU PEACE. It was the first TOT, which was facilitated by the CRPs

themselves. Before this the same training was organized by Head Office at HRDC

Mr Fazle Khaliq Roghani a CRP from Dir presenting

review of the training. He told that after getting TOT,

a drastic change has come into his life and now he is

working for the uplift of the downtrodden and

helpless segments of society through formation of

CIs, strengthening of CIs and building the capacities

of the communities in the remote areas. Beside

formation of MCOs he has also formed 12 WCOs in

his union council.He also told that besides delivering

CMST, LMSTs in PEACE project, he has been able to

work with different other national and international

organizations as consultant trainer. He highly

indorsed the contents of the training and assured

that this training will further help build the

participants in good governance, transparency,

resource mobilization and financial management of

VOs and LSOs.

The closing Ceremony formally started with recitation from the

verse of Holy Quran by a participant

Mr, Tariq Zaman CRP from Buner thanked SRSP for providing such fruitful training.

He expressed his views through Pashto poem and highly appreciated the

philosophy of social mobilization and importance of training PEACE project’s

contribution in alleviation of poverty from the society.

Mr Bahar Ahmad Coordinator HRD while welcoming and thanking the chief guest, expressed his views that all the RSPs are

standing on the philosophy of SM, and we proclaim that we are reaching the poorest of the poor segments through

formation of viable and mature community organizations at gross root level. We overcome the development barriers

through these gross root institutions. He stressed on the importance of non material development which without

awareness and training to the communities is impossible. He told that SM is a continuous process for which PEACE project,

which is one of the mega project of EU, will train 1200 Community Resource Persons in Malakand division and these CRPs/

activists will work with communities to bring them at par with other organized and developed communities.

Mr, Jamal Shah while addressing the participants appreciated of the services of SRSP and other RSPs in

alleviating the poverty and creating the sense of ownership among the peoples. He told that the nation is

going through a critical situation and highly needs awareness, sense of ownership, collective action and

preservation of our valuable cultural values, traditions and the social assets. He told that we should avoid and

criticize dictatorship, develop culture of dialogue at gross community and national level. He told that the

peoples who are really patriot can sacrifice for their nation like Nelson Mandela, who spent his precious life in

prison for his nation. He told that we all are change maker and try to make positive changes in the society.
