San Antonio Clubhouse Offers Leadership Intern Program

Johnson is a dedicated contributor to her community. Among her other board positions, Dawn Johnson serves on the board of directors for the San Antonio Clubhouse, which administers programs for adults with mental illnesses. The clubhouse’s approach to helping program participants emphasizes community engagement over traditional therapy.

The San Antonio Clubhouse also enables members of the public take part in the Clubhouse Leadership Intern Program (CLIP), which offers interns firsthand experience in the mental health and nonprofit sectors. Interns join a small, close-knit team that collaborates to create meaningful work for clubhouse members and foster cooperation in the organization’s daily operations.
