with 2.1 billion rural people living on less that 2 USD per day;

In the North Bengal district of West Bengal, in East India, following inteventions from IUF- affiliate PBKMS, rural workers in one area were able to get 45 days work per household in the 2006, while the district average was 12.7 days per household .

should be extending to all workers and their families in rural areas
