How to launch a process of continuous and systematic improvements in
Odessa, Ukraine?
About Odessa
Odessa is the fourth largest city in Ukraine with a population of 1M. The city is a
major seaport and transportation hub located on the northwestern shore of the Black Sea.
The pearl of the Black Sea!
About me
1. In 2006 I founded digital marketing agency Netpeak that focuses on search
advertising (SEO, Google AdWords) for businesses and startups. 6 years later Netpeak became #1 in media agencies rating and #2 in digital agencies rating.
2. In 2012 I became a cofounder of startup incubator Wannabiz.
3. Also I'm a cofounder of two successful SaaS-businesses: call tracking system
Ringostat.com and competitors research system Serpstat.com.
Which one of you has been to Ukraine?
What issues do we have?
1. Lestover Soviet mentality. People don’t resolve issues by themselves.
2. Rotten governmental system. We have no hope that government will resolve our issues.
3. We have no place where active citizens can easily collaborate.
Create a platform for implemention of social projects in Odessa.
How can theses issues be solved?
At 1st glance. A narrow perspective.
Crowdfunding platform
The main idea
Odessa citizens come up with social project ideas >
Other citizens are willing to fund some of these projects
>
And others offer their help in bringing these projects to life
Goal #1: complete 5 projects in the first year.
Our team
Section with social projects that are looking for funding
Completed project #1 – Cherrytea.od.ua
Project #2 – Urban art telecommunication cabinets
>
Other projects – en.mg.od.ua
1. Help for stray pets.
2. Tourist promo video for Odessa. 3. Street pianos. 4. "My city without garbage". 5. "Do not litter" signs at local beaches. 6. Attraction foreign grants for urban projects.
Goal #2: become self-sustaining.
Non political
At 2nd glance. A broader perspective.

+ Database of information relevant to social projects
What else do we need?
Crowd in Odessa – how many people is it?
606 493
Goal #3: bring together 22 thousand сitizens that are ready to improve Odessa
themselves.
What information can we give?
1. Database of pre-existing other social projects.
2. Database of events relevant to social projects.
At 3rd glance. An even broader view.

Funnel of project implementation
Ideas in their infancy >
Communication (discussions in comments, searching for team members)
> Posting of projects (projects – are well thought out ideas)
> Collecting money
> Realization of projects
Goal #4: systemize the process of implementing projects throughout the full funnel: from an "idea in its infancy"
to "its realization".
At 4th glance. The big picture.

Goal #6: change the mentality of Odessa's citizens from "we cannot resolve our
issues" to "we can".
In short
1. We want to bring together on our platform active citizens who are ready to improve Odessa themselves.
2. We want to show them that they are not alone.
3. We want to inspire other citizens by their example.
But now I want to involve you in Moy Gorod
