Lessons Learned

Developing plans for using technology to manage volunteers needs to happen BEFORE disaster.

With increasing national coverage of disasters, volunteers can not be effectively managed without a database.

Coordinating volunteers requires more than technology – relationships between federal, state and local groups is essential.
