Cycling infrastructure in Lublin - statistics
In Lublin we got about 110 km bike roads
In 2011-2013 (built or renovated)
2011 - 4,65 km
2012 - 6,7 km
2013 - 17,5 km
In total 28,85 km
Local law for cycling in Lublin
Strategic documents:
1. „Requirements – how to build bike roads, local standards”
Ordinance nr 415/2010 10th June 2010 r.
Main topics:
- Obligation to build bike roads in asphalt instead of sett
- Consultations project
2. „Cycling policy of the city Lublin"
Resolution nr 224/XIV/2011 City Councuil Lublin October 20th 2011”
Main goals:
-Strategic target - 15 % participation of cycling in all road traffic in City (car, bus, on foot)
- create a position – Cycle Officer
-special budget for cycling

What we want to achieve?
- filling in missing sections within the existing road bike
- allowing two-way cycling on one-way streets (kontraruch)
- More 40 self-service bike stations and 400 bikes for rent in 2015 total 80 stations and 800 bikes
- further development of cycle infrastructure
- more bike racks at schools, in city center
- bike parks in Lublin’s districts
- zones with speed with limit 30km/h
