What is Jashn?

Jashn 2014 is a large scale children’s day

event, involving more than 7000 children (and

1500 adults) from over 28 schools for

underprivileged students in Gurgaon.

This event aims to ensure that underprivileged

kids can also celebrate a day that is meant to

be enjoyed by all children across the country.

Why ‘Jashn’

While volunteering at an NGO in a teaching

program a student asked us, when is

children’s day celebrated.

This prompted us to ask the entire class if they

had ever celebrated children’s day or if they

knew anything about it.

Who is behind ‘Jashn’

The Helping Hand The Helping Hand is a not for profit social entrepreneurial

venture founded in 2013.

We are a dedicated group that works with local NGO's to identify their needs and help them out.

Over the past year, we have carried out successful large scale projects with NGOs based out of Gurgaon.

We have successfully tackled specific problems such as food insecurity, women health and safety, youth empowerment and education of underprivileged children.

We are committed, dedicated and working towards catalysing change.

Mera Parivar caters to over 300 underprivileged people

ranging from 5 to 45 every day

It provides free tuition to students of all ages and

ensures that all are enrolled in a formal school after

Grade 5.

It provides training in various vocational courses to

create basic opportunities of income to all within its fold.

Kaleidoscope Events has been in the corporate event

space for the last 18 years

Kaleidoscope’s experience ranges from small events for

100 persons to large seminars involving 20,000 persons

Kaleidoscope has been contributing to society by

actively participating towards the betterment of

underprivileged children by supporting the efforts of

World Vision India

1:00-1:15 – Award ceremony (judged by a panel of professionals - best schools will be awarded)
