market players have become a kind of accelerator for omnidirectional development of the Republic.The Board of Investment Activity is affiliated with the Head of the Republic Buryatia, the institution of the Investment Officer of the

Republic of Buryatia was introduced, and the Fund for regional development of the Republic of Buryatia was established. The Republic of Buryatia supports investors intending to put up money for its capital investment projects. The Government of the Republic of Buryatia constantly works at arrangement of the most favorable, beneficial and comfortable conditions for business development.

The relevance of establishment of logistics centers in the Republic of Buryatia is based on the feasibility of use of the transit and transport potential of the Republic in the context of stable growth of the goods turnover and cargo carriage between Russia and China, the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region.

Factors of development of cargo carriage through the transport corridor

Construction and reconstruction of the Zamyn-Uud - Ulan-Bator - Altan-Bulak motorway that is to be opened for traffic in 2015.

Expansion of the road border crossing Zamyn-Uud from the side of Mongolia on the border with China.

The reconstruction of the multiway road border crossing «Kyakhta» that allows to increase its capacity up to 1200 vehicles per day.Completion date is 2015.

Reconstruction and expansion of the Ulan-Ude – Kyakhtamotorway. Work performance period is 2012-2015.

It is proposed to implement the project of production and logistic centers with reloading and container yard within the territory of Gusinoozyorsk nearbyZagustay railway station.

Two plots, each of which is 20 ha in area, nearby the Ulan-Ude – Naushki railway were prepared for the construction purposes.

There is a water power plant with a capacity of 1100MW within the territory of Gusinoozyorsk, and free capacity for setting-up of power-consuming industries is available.

FACING STONES

Located in the Pribaikalsliy district 47 km north-west of Ulan-Ude on the right bank of the Selenga river. The nearest railway stations are Tataurovo (7 km) on the left bank of the river Selenga and the Mostovoy passing place (12 km) – on the right bank. The deposit is connected by the ferry line across the Selenga river. On the right bank of the Selenga river the Ulan-Ude – Shergino crushed-rock road passes in the vicinity to the deposit. The deposit is connected with the administrative center of the Pribaikalskiy district – the village of Tataurovo (24 km) as well as with the village of Koma (6,5 km) and Ostrozhskoye (6 km) by dirt road suitable for all-year-round traffic.

1. Ostrozhskoye deposit

Located in the territory of Bichurskiy district, on the left bank of the river Ara-Kiret, 16 km south-west of the village of Bichury, 10 km south of the village of Ara-kiret. The deposit is connected with the nearest localities Ara-Kiret, Elan and with the Ulan-Ude – Bichura – Kudara motorway by trafficable dirt roads. Was explored by the production geological association “Buryatgeologia” (Reutova, 1980).

2. Ara-Kiretskoye deposit

Located in the territory of Dzhidinskiy district, 10 km north-east of the Dzhida railway station, 2.5 km north-west of the Butikhinskiy way station.Based on the data available, the trachyandesites are recommended for the application in construction.

The cluster is perceived as the first reception point for tourists arriving in Russia, as well as the largest border crossing and customs point for freights imported in Russia from the countries of the Asia-Pacific Region.

The freight traffic coming through Mongolia is predicted to increase significantly due to the construction of the Ulan-Bator - Beijing motorway that has already been completed on the side of China.

• A. The flat grass covered plot (1,34 ha) with no bushes and trees, located within the city of Kyakhta,bordering to the north with the Ulan-Ude – Ulan-Bator federal road. Investors are proposed to develop shopping and social center in this plot (refer to fig.), which includes–along with shopping an catering facilities–multiplex cinema, bowling and billiard center, fitness center, children’s playing area, family entertainment complex with a shooting gallery, lasertag (Lasermaxx), gaming machines, etc.The proposed project is targeted at tourists and citizens of Kyakhta.

• B. The flat plot (19 ha), partially bushy, located within the city of Kyakhta at the 1st kilometer of the Kyakhta – Bichura motorway. Investors are proposed to develop customs and logistics terminal of the 1st category with “A”-class warehouse complex. The capacity of the terminal allows to store simultaneously more than 300 vehicles.

• C. The sloping grass covered plot (12 ha) with no bushes and trees located at the 2nd kilometer of the Kyakhta – Bichura motorway. Investors are proposed to develop a complex of ancillary services facilities (service station wih car parking, catering, hotel, insurance companies, etc).
