Summary and conclusions

T. Aman:

Growth duration was higher in 1st seeding date (24 June).

Yield was higher in 2nd seeding date (15 July).

BRRI dhan53 (<120 days) produced the highest yield.

BRRI dhan44, 51, 52 and 54, and BR11-Saltol (120-140 days) gave the

highest yield in Polder 43/2/F.

BR11-Saltol, BRRI dhan49, BRRI dhan52 and BRRI dhan54 (120-140

days) produced the highest yield in Polder 30.

Boro: Highest average yield produced by BRRI dhan29 (7.3 t/ha, 162 days)

followed by BRRI dhan47 (6.8 t/ha, 153 days), BRRI dhan61 (6.6 t/ha, 152

days) and BRRI dhan28 (6.0 t/ha, 147 days) in Polder 43/2/F.

In Polder 30, BRRI dhan61 (4.0 t/ha, 150 days) and BRRI dhan47 (4.0

t/ha, 153 days) gave the highest yield followed by BINA dhan8 (3.7 t/ha, 151

days) and BRRI dhan29 (3.7 t/ha, 161 days)

Recommendations

T. Aman: 15 July -the optimum seeding date for both sites

BRRI dhan53 (<120 days) performed the best at both sites, and BINA

dhan8 was suitable for Polder 30.

BR11-Saltol (5.3 t/ha), BRRI dhan52 (4.8 t/ha) and BRRI dhan54 (4.6

t/ha) would be suitable for both areas.

Boro: BRRI dhan47, BRRI dhan61 and BINA dhan8 would be most suitable

for aman-boro systems in Polder 30.

BRRI dhan28, BRRI dhan47 and BRRI dhan61 would be appropriate

for triple rice systems in Polder 43/2/F.

BRRI dhan29 is feasible and would maximize production.
