The society benefits greatly from generous volunteers who help in many different ways. Volunteers typically assist at the Pet Adoption Center between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m and are crucial to the functioning of the facility. Volunteers who wish to be hands-on with the animals can walk dogs, work in the cat rooms, and groom animals. Other activities include the cleaning of cages, dishes and laundry, as well as administrative work. Additionally, more motivated volunteers may consider participating on one of the society’s committees, or fostering and/or adopting an animal.
