Industry Profile
KIADB is developing Industrial Area spread over in 1,600 acres of land at Badanakuppe – Kellamballi village for formation of industrial area in Chamarajanagar District. The land is located on State Highway No. 80 connecting Chamarajanagar to Mysore. The proposed Badanakuppe – Kellamballi industrial area is located about 7 km from Chamarajanagar town and 40 km from Mysore
Scope for developing granite cutting & polishing cluster.

Water The Cauvery river flows through Kollegal
taluk in the North-West. Gaganachukkhi and Bharachukkhi water falls
lies to the North-West of this taluk. The Palar river flows to the South-East of this
taluk. The Suvarnavathi River which flows from
Chamarajanagar and Yelandur Taluk in the West of this Taluk joins the Cauvery river
The Gundluhole river flows from the eastern side of BR Hills through the gorges and valleys formed by BR Hills and MM Hills.
Guliyuvanooruhalla and Mayalakkiyuruhalla, these two small rivers also join the Cauvery river.
Maydhagunooruhalla joins the Palar river.
Power Transmission in the district is being
done byChamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC).

Tourism• Survarnavathi Reservoir: situated at a distance of 16 kms
from Chamarajanagar, it is famous for its breathtaking scenic beauty.
• Kanakagiri hill: is one of the popular Jain centres in the world , well known for its sandalwood and rich forestry.
• Thriembarkapura: built in the period 1250-1350 AD, is famous for the big temple of Thrikadambeshwara deity.
• Huguligana murudi: situated 6.5 kms to the South of Terakanambi,is famous for the Temple of Lord Venkataramaswamy.
• BR Hills Wildlife Sanctuary (Yelandur Taluka)- BR Hills is one of the famous Bio-diversities and Hill station in the world. It is rarest wildlife sanctuary located at an altitude of 1500 mtrs above MSL.
• Sri Male Mahadeshwara Hills (Kollegal Taluka) - Popularly called as MM Hills. It is a Holy place believed to have 777 wide hills, 77 important hills, 7 lively hills around. MM Hills range is covered by Kaveri and BRT Wildlife Sanctuary all around.
• Bandipura National Park (Gundlupet Taluka) Spread over an area of 970 sq.Kms one of the rarest wild life sanctuaries in India known for its world famous Tiger Reserve.
• Barachukki (Kollegal Taluk) - The Kaveri with its numerous branches falls down from 75 to 100 feet. All round falls one can see a number of hillocks.
• Himavad Gopalaswamy Hills (Gundlpet Taluka) - Located at an altitude of 1450 mtrs from MSL. It is an important Hill Station and Pilgrim Centre.
