Cooner Infrastructure and Street Rehabilitation

CDBG funds were used to design the entire project and construct roadway infrastructure. The project has resulted in significant development and will continue to spur growth.

University Drive Sidewalks

The University Sidewalk Project is one of many sidewalk improvements that have improved transportation options, connectedness, and pedestrian safety.

W.A. Tarrow Park Improvements

This park improvement project replaced older equipment, giving children and their families safer, improved options for play and recreation.

Reconstruction of 1017 Fairview

The project provided a loan to a retiree on a fixed income who was caring for her elderly, disabled mother. She was able to demolish her substandard home and construct a new one.

BVCIL Connector Program Van

The Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living’s Connector Program provides citizens with disabilities access to an ADA-accessible shared ride service. Before the program, no accessible transportation options were available in the evening or on weekends.
