Women Veterans Alliance (WVA) mission is to empower women that have served or are currently serving through networking, career and professional development, and mentorship.• Started in January 2014- Melissa Washington Navy Veteran• Current local roster of over 200 women veterans• Collaboration with Veterans Cadre Foundation- Non-Profit Tax ID 45-5502850• Meet 3rd Thursday of every month in Greater Sacramento with Quarterly Mix & Mingles with supporters

The goals of Women Veterans Alliance are:• To Equip women with the tools to pursue a rewarding career • To Empower those women who want to become entrepreneurs • To Encourage women veterans through Mentorship to include young women that want to join the military • To Strengthen the sisterhood bond between women veterans • To Develop and Maintain strong community of women veteran supporters• To Educate the community that Women that have served are Veterans

Programs:Womens Veterans Movement- Provide a solution to connect women veterans in a timely fashion directly to appropriate resources. WVA is the local community solution for women veterans and has established Women Veterans Community Alliance to create strategic partnerships to leverage such resources.

Womens Cadre- Young Womens Program to help young women who are looking to join the military as well helping young women during reintegration back into the civilian world.

Career and Professional Development- Providing women assisting during career transition or business startup

Mentorship Program
