The Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War
The President of the United States by proclama7on has declared May 2012 through November 2025, as the Commemora7on of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. In accordance with this proclama7on, the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), Chapter 885, Lower Cape Fear Region, is preparing to conduct four (4) days of events, honoring all veterans, all wars, during April 2015, the 23rd through the 26th in Wilmington, NC.
The events will take place at the Coastline Conven7on Center, Hugh MacRae Park, Greenfield Lake Ampitheater and the N.C. BaWleship during these four days. The events will be open to all veterans and civilians.

• Over the fours days of events we expect 6,500 aXendees.
• We are aXracCng personnel, veterans and civilians from all over the state of North Carolina, to include: Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, Fort Bragg in FayeXeville and Seymour Johnson Air force base in Goldsboro.
• In addiCon to the above we are inviCng the service chiefs from each branch of the military and the naConal presidents from each of the various quasi military organizaCons; such as: The American Legion, The Veterans of Foreign Wars, etc.
• The Governor of North Carolina, the Mayor of Wilmington and the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for New Hanover County are the key note speakers at the various events.
• All CommemoraCve Partners will be adverCsed on our website, in our social media and print adverCsing.
• Your donaCon to this event is completely tax deducCble either as a charitable donaCon or a usual and customary business expense, as a promoConal and adverCsing expense. A Tax I.D. number is available upon request.
• Mainstreet is a fraternal, benevolent, social and educa7onal organiza7on that helps small businesses and non-‐profit organiza7ons grow to accomplish their goals. Mainstreet creates business expos, job fairs, symposiums, and other events in order to place member’s businesses in front of the market and general public.
