Come See Why Over 2 Million Families Choose Kindermusik!

In Kindermusik classes, the instructor leads a group of parents and their children through joyful activities, using music and movement. Parents learn more about their child’s unique developmental process, and the shared learning experience creates a bond as the child associates learning with fun, musical play. Sign language

is incorporated into each of the classes. Material fees are paid to the instructor at the first class. This fee is in addition to the program fee. Registration deadline is two days prior to the start of each session.

Kindermusik Village(Ages newborn to 2 years old (lap babies, crawlers and toddlers)

The children in this age group are changing more rapidly than at any other time in their development. Two key elements to Kindermusik Village are variety and repetition. Home activities help involve and educate the parent about the importance of baby’s musical learning and reinforce concepts learned in class. Village introduces multiple levels of activities appropriate for the different stages of development in this age range. Relaxation, social times and sign language are built into the 45-minute lesson to meet adult needs.Parent/caregiver participation is required.

Kindermusik Hickory Dickory Tickle and BounceAnd The Rhythm of My Day

(14 week session) Hickory, Dickory, Tickle and Bounce is focused on further feeding a baby’s language development through the rhythmic nature of nursery rhymes. You and your child will also discover plenty of implied movement activities throughout the semester with many additional movement concepts - like up and down - incorporated into the literature book. Favorite songs and activities from Hickory, Dickory, Tickle and Bounce include “Peek-a-boo,” “Baa Baa Black Sheep,” “Beat the Drum,” “Roll That Ball,” “Sulla Lulla,” and “The Blackbird.” (7 weeks)

The Rhythm of My Day: With an introduction to sign language and highlighted by the concept of a family’s daily rituals and routines, The Rhythm of My Day is designed to help parents incorporate music into many of the regular routines found throughout their daily life. Lesson focuses also highlight several other key concepts like diversity of sound, stop and go, syncopation, and singing. Favorite activities and songs featured in The Rhythm of My Day include “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,” “Golden Slumbers,” “Walk All Around,” and “Ally Bally.” (7 weeks)

Kindermusik Our Time(For children ages 2 – 3 1/2 years old)

The key element to Kindermusik Our Time is the use of developmentally appropriate guidelines. Children learn through interaction with materials, adults, other children and their environmental space. Exploration Time encourages your child’s discovery of instruments, textures, sounds and movement. The anticipation and rewards of listening are introduced, and with turn-taking activities, social skills blossom. This class prepares your child for the independence of pre-school. Sign language is incorporated into each class. Parent/caregiver participation is required.

Kindermusik Fiddle-dee-dee14 week session

Fiddle-dee-dee: Creatures of the animal kingdom, whether furry, web-footed, hoofed, winged, or whiskered, are the subject matter for Fiddle-Dee-Dee. Animal sounds, which are so appealing to children, naturally prompt imitation and provide abundant active listening and vocal play material. In the context of moving like animals, we will focus on concepts such as high, low, smooth, bumpy, fast, and slow. On the At Home CDs, you will hear a clear emphasis on the stringed instrument family, with instruments such as the mandolin, banjo, lute, classical and folk guitar, harp, string quartet, and double bass.

Young Rembrandts / Pre-School(Ages Pre-school 4 & 5 yrs. Old)

Winter 1 Has your preschooler shown exceptional artistic skills? Then your child will LOVE this drawing class. Learning to draw basic shapes is a critical building block for every young artist and our apple lesson will strengthen just that. During the consecutive classes, we will focus on the Native American culture as students draw a headdress and a totem pole and a fun robot filled with personality.

Winter 2 The long winter months can easily lead to a lot of restlessness, so alleviate any creativity dormancy with this fun class. Children will learn shape recognition by using circles, triangles and squares to create a colorful masterpiece. A multicolored fan will help with color patterns and a western portrait and an animal drawing will provide an enjoyable lesson for these artists.

Spring Spring is the perfect season for your pre-schooler’s talent to blossom. In Young Rembrandts, we explore many fun subjects. Wonderful drawings of adventurous astronauts and friendly monsters will excite the imagination. We reach new heights with our hot air balloon and many nature-inspired drawings like our bees and flower baskets.

Winter This season is the perfect time to enroll your student into a drawing class. Students will use advanced techniques as they use colored pencils, markers and sharpies to create the following projects: A Lego-inspired mini-fig face, a historical – based drawing will document the Op art movement and a composition featuring a detailed scorpion will provide plenty of fun and artistic challenges. Students will emulate master artist Pablo Picasso, complete a portrait of Terry Fox and spend plenty of time being silly with a funny pterodactyl character drawing.

Spring The spring season is an exciting time to be a part of Young Rembrandts. Springtime is all about vibrant colors, and our colorful drawings are guaranteed to capture your attention. Students will learn how to think outside of the box as they create stylized drawings of flowers and snails. We’ll also explore historical themes with our comic book-inspired drawing and our Aboriginal-like composition.

Cartooning Make this spring a memorable season for your child. Young Rembrandts Cartooning students will learn the essential skills they need to create exciting cartoon characters with expressive faces and dynamic poses. They will develop their visual story telling skills as they draw sequential images and jokes. Students will learn to create fun, off-the-wall characters based on people, animals, and even food. All this and more await our students.

Winter Fun Don’t get left out in the cold! Bring the winter fun indoors with interactive Bricks 4 Kidz models of some popular winter activities from the hair-raising thrill of the luge to the more relaxing pace of the horse and sleigh. We’ll build the all-business snowplow as well as the all-fun snowmobile. And our winter theme wouldn’t be complete without ice hockey and skiing. No snow? No problem – all you need to create these winter memories are our bricks and your imagination.

Forces of Nature Fasten your seatbelts; we’re in for some wild weather! This unit is all about the amazing and powerful forces of nature, as students explore the when, where, how and why of all kinds of natural phenomenons. There is a lot of geography in this unit -- we’ll examine a map of the Pacific “Ring of Fire” where most tsunamis occur, view a diagram of the tectonic plates and learn how their movement creates earthquakes, define the area known as “Tornado Alley” in North America, and find out what hurricanes are called in different parts of the world. These lessons are designed to improve your child’s understanding of the forces of nature, while taking care not to alarm. Each model represents the motion of that particular weather or event, with a seat for a mini-figure to take in the action! Take cover because we’re about to take a trip through some wild weather! Kids will love to build moving models of a tornado, a tsunami, an earthquake and a cyclone. Learn how they move, why they happen and what you can do to stay safe!

Transportation Timeline If you like planes, trains and automobiles, then this unit is for you! Each week, students will build motorized models of a dragster, a railroad crossing gate, an airplane and more. Explore the history of transportation from horse and buggy and trains to the development of the automobile and flight. Each les-son introduces terminology related to each mode of transportation, like “lift and propulsion” for the airplane, as well as describes how each “vehicle” works. And the best part is – the models are so much fun to play with! Lots of building fun ahead with motorized models of a train, car, dragster and airplane. These models rock, roll and spin! Your child can follow our step-by-step model plans to create their vehicle, then customize it to their own specifications and take their mini-figure for a ride!
