• Role of the LEP; driving strategic priorities
• Role of Opt-In Organisations; SFA, DWP and Big Lottery. London Councils and GLA to act as local match funders.
Programme PrioritiesThe Programme has broadly been split into 3 areas;
•Young People (15-24) - Preventative NEET, NEET Outreach, Targeted NEET interventions, Enhancing the London Careers Offer, Creating Careers Clusters, Gangs Prevention•Adult Employment - Employment Support for Parents, Families, People with Disabilities, Older People, Carers, BAME Women, those living in social housing
•Adult Skills - Low pay & progression pilots for those cycling in and out of work
ESF procurement / bidding rounds• Majority of ESF distributed via the Opt-ins.• “Direct” call for £10m+ projects now closed:
large strategic projects with significant match.• EPMU working closely with Opt-ins to agree
final packages of provision.• Big Lottery planning first bidding round in
June, projects starting delivery in April 2016.• No clear timetable from DWP or SFA, initial
bidding rounds expected from June 2016.
