Useful Tips For Home Bakers Along With An
Easy-To-Make Cake Recipe

1. It’s highly important to know the microwave oven you are using. If any error, always

Ingredients:
For the cake
50g baking butter
50g sugar
2eggs, beaten
50g flour
1 tsp instant coffee powder
½ spoon baking powder
Half cup walnut pieces For the buttercream
1/2 tsp instant coffee powder
1/2 tsp milk
15g light butter
50g icing sugar
Method
A. In a small bakeware mould, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add the eggs followed by the flour, baking powder and instant coffee. Add on some walnuts into the batter, keeping a few for decoration. Transfer to a bakeware mould from Poppat Jamals and put it in a preheated oven at 170C.
B. After 20 mins, check if the cake has risen and spring back when touched or do the needle test.
C. Meanwhile, make the coffee butter cream. Mix the instant coffee in the milk, add the butter and icing sugar. Beat until smooth, spread over the cake and top with the reserved walnuts.
