Hi there. Today we are going to make the basic ingredient for hundreds of taco recipes which are called Taco Shells. Taco is the well-known recipe from Mexican cuisine. Taco can be stuffed with chicken, vegetables, cheese, seafood, beef or any other stuff you like. It can be purchased from the market or you can prepare it at home. Homemade tacos are stored and can be used whenever you want to use it. The recipe which we are presenting to you today will make 15 to 20 tacos at once. So, lets get started.

Ingredients

1 cup of maize flour

Half cup of plain flour

Salt as needed

1 tablespoon cooking oilHalf teaspoon of carom seeds (optional)

Oil and a pan for deep frying

Place your maize flour and plain flour in a large bowl.

Now add 1 tablespoon cooking oil and salt. This is optional and will give some extra taste if you add carom seeds.

Now add some hot water in your bowl. Remember, add a little bit of water first and mix ingredients with water well. If you need more water to make soft dough, then add more water and have a soft dough. There is a nice thing about this dough, you dont need to give time to this dough to get prepared. You can start preparing tacos immediately.

Now take a normal piece of dough and give it a well-rounded shape of 3 to 5 inches. Your dough should not be too thick or too thin.

Make some small holes with the help of a fork to avoid your taco to adopt the shape of the balloon while frying. Your raw taco is ready to be fried.

Now hot your oil in a pan and place this taco into it.

When it becomes a little bit harder, but still flexible, with the help of two tongs, make a u shape and keep it there to be fully fried and get crispy and harder.
