• Concern from both distributors and operator about
certifying food safety
• Canada GAP is increasingly entry point
• Small handful of farmers in pilot were GAP certified,
initial survey found another handful that were either in
process, or about to start the process
• Conducted Food Safety and Traceability and intro to
certification workshop
