• This company buys the grapes at the cost of Rs 35--40 per kg including
transportation cost.
• Buying Location - Osmanabad, Solapur, Sangli Pune, Nashik .
• Loss-- Red grapes due to skin of grapes , climatic changes, poor handling –
10 to 25%.
1 kg of grapes 600 ml juice , White -1kg 750 ml.
• The remains of sediments and particles in the bottles, In every 100 bottle, 5 -15
bottles contain sediments hence they had to go for filtration again which were
adding additional cost and time consuming
• Logistic cost per bottle is 5 to 20 Rs per bottle
• Single policy of license is not there in India ,if this gets implemented then
It will be easy to export wine to other states and various charges of
documentation and license will get reduced.
• Electricity charges are high and due to load shedding which affect the
wine storage containers temperature and this can damage the quality of
wine.
• There is poor awareness about the wine in India.
• Machines are majorly imported from France and Italy (crushing machine,
Pneumatic press, Destemmer) which are costly.
• Due to Lack of knowledge, the retailers don’t know how to store them
under controlled temperature.
• If the wine is not kept under controlled temperature then the wine gets
spoil, and consumer consume that same wine.
