Hi there. Today we are going to make Chicken yogurt curry and well tell you how to prepare this tricky dish. Chicken yogurt curry is an important dish in Indian as well as Pakistani cuisine. It is eaten in some parts of Siri Lanka too. Chicken yogurt curry is being eaten in sub-continent for more than 5 centuries. So, lets get started.

Chicken yogurt curry

Ingredients

1 and half pound of boneless chicken 225 grams of yogurt

1 middle sized chopped red onion2 middle sized chopped tomatoes

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon spice powder

2 tablespoon olive oil

1 large potato

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 green chili and A little bit of chopped ginger

Add onion, tomatoes, green chili, ginger, olive oil and potato in a blender and make its paste.

Now, add this paste in a pan and keep it on fire. Keep mixing it. There is no need of any extra oil because we have added olive oil in food processor.

When your gravy becomes a little bit brown, add salt, red chili powder, cumin seeds and garm masala (spice powder) in your pan and keep mixing it. Dont let the gravy become dark brown or black. This is optional to add some food color at this point.

Now add yogurt.

When your gravy becomes light brown it is the time to add chicken.

Put your gas on medium and cover your pan to let the chicken cook.

After 15 minutes, open the pan and check the chicken for preparation. If you think this will take a couple of minute more, then let it cook and wait. Cook the chicken without lid and let the gravy a little bit thicker.
