in the first shot it is a wide long shot of the setting and location of the film. Low key lighting has been used in order to make It look mysterious and dark.

Ambient sound is used when the camera slowly zooms into the house such as owl noises, the wind

howling and dogs barking.

In this shot, a close up shot has been used to show two legs walking up the stairs. While

they are walking up the stairs, non-diegetic sound is used as the stairs are creaking. This

contributes to the chilling atmosphere that is created for the audience.

In this high angle shot, it shows an innocent little girl peacefully sleeping. Low lighting is used around the girl but there is a

spotlight of high key lighting which manipulates the audience to make the audience think that she is good

and pure.

In this shot, it shows the couple peering into the room. Their face expressions

look angry and vicious which contrasts to the previous shot. After the open the

door to see if their child is sleeping, diegetic sound is used when the girl says "I can see you". The couple slam the door

which makes the audience perceive them as evil and cruel.

This last shot is a medium close up shot of the social

worker talking to the mother. High key lighting is used on the outside setting

but low key lighting is used in the inside of the house. This

makes the family appear eerie and spooky.

This shot introduces the main character and her role in this film (a social worker).

Medium shot is used while the social worker is talking to the family. Diegetic sound is used as each character speak.

High key lighting is also used in this shot to show the characters facial

expressions clearly.
