Solar Energy

Solar panel historyIn 1839 Alexandre Edmond Becquerel discovered

the photovoltaic effect which explains how electricity can be generated from sunlight. He

claimed that “shining light on an electrode submerged in a conductive solution would create an

electric current.” However, even after much research and development subsequent to the

discovery, photovoltaic power continued to be very inefficient and solar cells were used mainly for the

purposes of measuring light.

Solar energy is energy from the sun.

Reaching the earth in the form of

radiation. It consist of heat and light

energy.

Signs of solar energy on Earth include:

The energy of fossil fuels, which originate in the distant past of planet or animal biomass.

• Coal• Oil• Natural gas

Solar House #1 of Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the

United States, built in 1939, used Seasonal thermal energy storage for year-

round heating

Future of solar energy

use mor then now solar system to

mek our planet better in better
