ROAD DEVELOPMENT IN CHHATTISGARH

For improving the road infrastructure in the state, the Chhattisgarh government will build 4000 km roads this year.

Chhattisgarh State Government had set a target to construct 4000 km roads in the state. The work for the construction of 224 major bridges in the state has begun.

Since Chhattisgarh was formed it had undergone significant development in every sector, owing to which the pressure of road traffic has increased manifolds.

The Chhattisgarh government is giving top priority to the socio-economic development in the interior areas besides protecting the lives of people in the

insurgency-hit pockets for the road development in Chhattisgarh.

This corporation would strive to chalk out new strategies to meet the increasing demand of roads in State with the use of modern technology.

With proper maintenance of quality standards and management of financial resources. The corporation’s main focus area is to develop the infrastructure of

entire Chhattisgarh.

The anti-development and anti-people face of the Naxalites had exposed and they had established their control in the interior areas by unleashing terror.

The department has been deliberating upon the formation of a ‘separate corporation’ since long, for connecting the regions of commercial importance

through development of road routes connecting them.
