THREATS TO TIGER
According to a research almost half of their species are extinct
WHY SHOULD WE SAVE TIGERSBelow are some reasons why should we save tiger:
A tiger is not just a charismatic species or just another wild animal living in some far away forest. A tiger is a unique animal which plays a pivotal role in the health and diversity of an ecosystem. It is a top predator which is at the apex of the food chain and helps in maintaining balance in ecosystem.
Destroying the tiger’s home, means we not only harm tigers, but also ourselves. If we make sure tigers live, we have to save other animals also that tiger eats. And for this animals to live we must protect their foods that is the grasses, trees and all. In this way we can save the tigers as well as the entire forest. Because they inter-related, if one them got missing the natural processes couldn’t be fulfill properly as an example food chain.
INNOVATION
We should think of something which makes suitable for everyone
living’s such as sustainable development.
SPREAD THE WORLDSpread some Awareness programs conveying others that tigers are in
threat, we should protect them because they are apart of our
environment and needs attention.
PREVENTING WILDLIFE TRADE
Say “NO” to tigers trade by refusing to buy any tiger parts and items
prepared from Tiger derivatives. Not only Tiger but other animals too.
THE BEST PRACTICESWe can at least take some steps to protect them. How do we make it work?
A short description
PROJECT TIGER is a wildlife conservation movement initiated in 1973 in India to protect the Bengal Tigers. The project aims at tiger conservation in specially constituted tiger reserves representative of various regions throughout India. It strives to maintain a viable population of this conservation reliant species in their natural environment.
WHAT IS PROJECT TIGER ?What’s it all about?
Because of only the ‘Project Tiger’ various tiger reserves were created in the country.
Various surveys were conducted all over the
world to collect information on their
living condition
There was an increase in the population of tigers.
Lots of home for the tigers are now reserves
WHAT DOES ‘PROJECT TIGER’ DO ?
Below are some points of what project tiger was meant to do:
Project tiger was meant to
identify the limiting factors
and to mitigate them by
suitable management. The
damages done to the
ecosystem was to rectified
and to recover it for the
maximum extent
• It eliminated all forms of
human exploitation on the
ecosystem.
• It monitors on the faunal &
floral changes over time
and carried out some
