DESCRIPTION
Wayne Milford Donaldson, FAIA, Chairman of the United States Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP) and a noted preservation architect licensed to practice in three states. Over 35 years, Donaldson has worked in historic preservation and the adaptive reuse of existing historic structures. Donaldson served as California’s State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) from April 2004 until his retirement in September 2012. The SHPO serves as chief administrative officer of the Office of Historic Preservation in Sacramento and as Executive Secretary of the State Historical Resources Commission.
