Government alone cannot hope to tackle these challenges.

Need to engage with industry and other key stakeholders

The 2020 Group supports activities in Scotland which can contribute or influence low carbon outcomes.

The Group encourages greater collaboration and shared best practice between Scottish organisations and businesses.

The specific Climate Change goals have been set of 42% carbon reduction by 2020.

Transport sub-Group has focus on carbon reduction activities & sustainable transport

Promote uptake of Electric Vehicles

Understand barriers to wider use of Video-Conferencing

Increase use of public transport

Support Fuel Efficient Driver Training

Find alternatives to use of Grey Fleet vehicles

Practical and deliverable examples of

how to cut fuel usage and costs by :

Better vehicle efficiencies can give 15%

Cutting mileage by route plans adds 15%

Fuel efficient driver training another 15%
