Introduce generic EU regulatory requirements on recyclability in product
design.
Avoid taking a “recycled content” approach which is not effective for metals.

accountability

Introduce ambitious and pragmatic targets, with a harmonised calculation method*

Take a product-centric approach to maximize recovery of valuable and
critical materials

Establish a mandatory certification system for priority waste streams (e-waste, batteries etc.)

Chemicals
Ensure that chemicals legislation considers socio-economic benefits of recycling, and
adopts a risk-based approach.
