THE POLAR BEARS

The polar bears are the biggest bears in the world. They weigh between 300 and 650 kilos. In the summer they eat plants. In the winter they eat arctic hares, harp seals and arctic foxes.

THE ARCTIC HARE

The arctic hare can hop at 64 km per hour.They are white in the winter. They eat mosses, lichens, leaves,seaweed, bark and roots.

HARP SEALS

Harp seals are marine mammals. Their enemies are arctic foxes, polar bears and men. They live 30 years.

CARIBOU

Caribou eat plants. Males and females grow new antlers every years.

ARCTIC FOXES

Arctic foxes eat arctic hares, caribous, birds and eggs. Their enemies are the polar bears and men.

SNOW OWL

The snow owl is the official bird in Quebec, Canada. Their are active all day and night. They survive in temperature of -50 ºC.
