All Time Low – Backseat Serenade

All Time Low as a band generally falls under a mix of genres; pop punk/ pop rock/ alternative rock. The pop aspect of this is portrayed in this video through the use of the unusual costumes that the band and cast are wearing; each band member is dressed up as a different animal/creature. However unlike the way most pop videos would have used more drastic and bizarre ‘outfits’ for the artist/band, All Time Low have used ‘costumes’ that eventually become a useful part of the story that the video is telling as the band become the dolls in a ‘whack-a-mole’ style game. Whereas other artists often wear crazy outfits that are supposed to fit with the theme of their video but really don’t serve much of a purpose other than that.
