Because of the concept we needed a girl with a soft face. We needed her to have this quality
so the audience see her as slightly fragile and vulnerable. We came to this conclusion because
we hoped that it would have a bigger impact on the audience, so when we surprise them with
going against their expectations it would intrigue them more.
Samantha has a very delicate face so when we contrasted this with shocking make up and
abnormal clothing the whole concept would come alight and be more heightened.
Samantha is of mixed origin so we hoped that the video would appeal to the wider
demographic, our music video is targeted at a very versatile demographic and so there is no
specific race of class being targeted. However age is quite specific, if we were to pick a market
segment it would be 15 to 21 year olds those who are still in education. This choice is based
on the indie genre its self and their specific target market. Samantha is 19 years old and so her
age reflects those who normally listen to indie music we hoped that the audience we make this
connection.
Overall Samantha is able to convey the emotions
we hoped she could convey. She is confident in her
work and abilities. She is able to grasp the concept
and help act a more serious and sinister character,
she is also able to take direction well. this would
definitely be beneficial tour project as the audience
would get a better understanding of what we hoped
to create.
