Use of titling in film openings

From our research, we have found that usually in films the titles come into the opening around 1 minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds. Only one of the films had the title right at the beginning and only one films title didn’t appear at all.

We also found that actors names usually come in around 30-50 seconds but in some films actors names don’t appear at the beginning of the film, but at the end.

Titling is important in the beginning of a film as it introduces the production companies, producers, actors and lots of other people involved in the film. This is important as it allows them to get credit for making the film. It also allows viewer's to recognise famous actors/actresses.
