Merlin: The young life of Merlin the magician protecting Arthur on his transition to the throne.Flashforward: The whole world experiences a blackout for 2:17 secs and the series cover the ultimatum of this as people try to change or keep their futures.Lost: Interactions of people on a downed trans-pacific flight. On a secluded desert island, think lord of the flies meets castaway.

4. Is it TV drama soap a one off or a series?All the productions I have chosen are TV dramas that are presented to us in series form, however they all at some point (after many episodes) will reach a conclusion.

5. Target audience?

Heroes: Heroes target audience is a teenage audience, moving to young adult, as it incorporates surrealism and escapism into a viewable drama, far more so then a soap opera. A TV drama for the iPod generation.

Merlin: appeals mostly to a family audience being a friendly sit down on a Saturday night with mild action and peril and emotional levels that respond to all ages.Flashforward: Flashforward’s target audience is a more mature one with a more serious topic and more serious questions being asked, also the length of the series will require quite an attention span, something a series like heroes with the surrealism can fulfil.Lost:I think Lost has a sophisticate and regular adult audience, with the length of the series requiring a good attention span.
