• Tupac Amaru Shakur was known for gangster rap music. Tupac had sold over 75 million records by 2007 making him one of the best music selling artists in the world. The themes of most of his music were violence, and hardship about poverty in inner cities.

What words would you use to describe the style of this artist ?

• Tupac’s style was the same as in the movies he had a thug rough type style. He had a rough life raised in the misery of poverty in the ghetto. Tupac’s style in music he used cusswords he also had songs that showed sympathy and with out cusswords he practiced poetry and it helped him write songs that eventually became a number one hits.

• Some of tupac’s music makes me feel excited like pumped up. Then some other styles of his music could make people sad or depressed because he talks about murder and dead people. Other times his music could be the type you just have to cruise with because it gets you wanting to cruise..

demonstrated ?• Tupac is a gangster rapper/ actor he came out

in several movies such as Nothing But Trouble, Juice, Poetic Justice, and Murder Was The Case he also starred in more movies that became produced after his death like bullet, Gridlock’dand Tupac’s last performance Gang Related. His music made millions like for example the songs such as, Keep Your Head Up, Hit Em’ Up, and Thug Passion.

How does this music reflect the society in which it was written ?

• Rappers during that time weren't perceived as caring people and he proved otherwise. Listen to his lyrics and compare them to other rappers and there is no comparison. Tupac helps us realize what the world and society hides from us. They act like everything is nice and dandy but their are people out there suffering and hurting due to our inability of just helping and caring. But all you have to do is listen, listen to his words and how powerful they are to the youth and even the grown.
