Wretch 32 ft. Josh Kumar – Don’t Go

First option

Lyrics:Don’t go I don’t know where you come from But you’re everywhere I go I don’t know why you chose me , (why me)But as long as you’re here I don’t need to know So don’t’ go

Page 3: The soundtrack

For: Has a minor tone to it, which is the type of mood

I wanted to make my trailer Well known song to the audience, good way it

builds up and down in the melody.

Against: The lyrics didn’t really match the storylines Using rap as a soundtrack is not a convention of

soap trailers Slower tempo to the trailer than I wanted to have

Reasons for and for not choosing it

The cribs – I’m a realist

Second option

LyricsI'm a realist I'm a romantic I'm an indecisive piece of shit

I'm a realist I'm a romantic I am indecisive and that's about it

And you dream that's the same thing That's the same life you lead

I don't agree and so you drink Don't wanna think That's cos your mind is already made up

Page 5: The soundtrack

For: Builds up a good atmosphere in the intro Lyrics fit with Gary's storyline about his mind

being made up

Against: Was too upbeat for the trailers storylines Wasn’t powerful enough to create the

dramatic feel to the trailer Beat didn’t fit with the edits and the title cards

Reasons for and not for choosing it

Muse – Undisclosed Desires

Final Choice LyricsI know you sufferedBut I don't want you to hideIt's cold and lovelessI won't let you be denied

Soothe meI'll make you feel pureTrust meYou can be sure

I want to reconcile the violence in your heartI want to recognize your beauty is not just a maskI want to exorcise the demons from your pastI want to satisfy the undisclosed desires in your heart

Lyrics fitted well with main storyline. Undisclosed Desires – affair between the characters

Had a powerful dramatic sound Minor tone to fit in with gloomy storylines Beat of the piece fitted well with the editing.

Also created a good atmosphere for title cards to be used

Reasons for choosing it
